Allison Cara Tolman is an American actress. Her role as Molly Solverson, in season one of FX's Fargo TV show earned her nominations for Emmy as well as Golden Globe. Tolman was raised in the city of New York and is a mother to two older and a younger siblings. The family relocated to England to Sugar Land, Texas when Tolman was just an infant. After a period of five years in Oklahoma, she relocated back to Sugar Land. Her first acting lessons began when she was 10 years old in the Fort Bend Community Theatre. She was a student at Clements High School, graduating in the year 2000. Baylor University awarded her a Bachelor's of Fine Arts degree in theatre performances. Then she moved to Dallas after college and was the Second Thought Theatre's founders. After 2009, Tolman relocated into Chicago, Illinois, to take classes in the art of performing at The Second City Training Center. Career in 2014, Tolman starred in the premiere season of the FX the black comedy crime show Fargo. Fargo was an original 1996 Coen Brothers film, starred Billy Bob Thornton (as Molly Solverson), Martin Freeman (as Bob Odenkirk) and Bob Odenkirk. Tolman received praise for her performance as Minnesota police officer Molly Solverson. Vanity Fair wrote that Tolman "calmly took over" the film. Critics' Choice Television Award, Best Supporting Actress (Movie/Miniseries) as well as Golden Globe nominations were given to Tolman for her performance. In the following season, the news announced Tolman was set to play a 2-episode guest appearance on The Mindy Project, playing Abby Berman, a romance novelist.
